I started skiing just before I turned 2! My parents attached me to the dog lead and used this to stop me from blowing away on Cairngorm in the Scottish Highlands. It is true, if you can ski in Scotland you can ski anywhere… My love for the sport continued through school and was incredibly fortunate to pursue a dream of ski racing full-time when I left. One too many injuries sent me in a different direction to University where I studied Geography and I discovered my passion for ski coaching whilst working in both Scotland and Switzerland between studies.

When I graduated from university I tried a very brief stint in the office world, but the mountains kept drawing me back. I spent 4 years coaching and instructing various race teams, clubs and ski schools. I got to work alongside some incredible people from whom I learned so much, but I also got to see around all the snowy corners of Europe, checking out places I could perhaps call home one day. When I became fully qualified as an instructor, I set my sights on the Portes Du Soleil, attracted by the immense amount of skiing and all-year-round activities. I began teaching in Morzine 5 years ago, but Châtel has me now! I love the summers as much as the winters, and obviously the famous Abondance cheese from the cows that live outside our home!

AND book ski lessons, even if you already think you know what you are doing there are always ways to improve. You can also get shown around secret spots and of course, skip the lift queues!
