Race coach

Run gates, build technique and take our race squads through a full season of training and events.

The job

Peak’s race programme is growing fast and we want someone to own the coaching side of it. This is gates, video, timing and the unglamorous early mornings that make a season’s progress possible.

You will run training blocks for our club squads, take race camps through holiday weeks, and coach private race clients who want serious technical work. Across a season you should see the same athletes enough times to genuinely develop them, which is the point.

What makes this different

Most seasonal race coaching jobs are a fortnight of camps bolted onto a teaching diary. This is not that. The race programme is a product in its own right, with its own calendar, and you are the person shaping it.

You will also have a hand in the pathway - spotting the strong twelve-year-old in a Kids Club group and getting them into the right squad is as much a part of the role as setting a course.

Who you’ll be coaching

Juniors from first gates through to genuine club racers, plus adults who want to be technically better than they are. Parents are engaged, invested and will ask you real questions. We back coaches who answer them honestly.

How we hire

Send the form below. We read every application and reply to all of them. For this role expect a technical conversation with our head of coaching, and if you are in the Alps, a session on snow together.

Day to day

What you'd actually do.

  1. 01 Plan and run gate sessions for club squads, race camps and private race clients
  2. 02 Set and maintain courses safely, including early-morning slope prep
  3. 03 Build individual technical plans and track them across the season
  4. 04 Prepare and support athletes at local races and club events
  5. 05 Video analysis and honest, usable feedback after every session
  6. 06 Work with our instructor team to move strong all-mountain skiers into the race pathway

  • · Attendance at the whole pre-season training course
  • · Fluent English

Nice to have

  • · FIS or national-level racing or coaching history
  • · Experience running a club squad across a full season
  • · Timing and video analysis tooling
  • · French

Not sure you tick every box? Tell us about yourself anyway, we'd rather hear from a great candidate than miss one.
