Introducing the Peak GCSE Ski PE Course

If your child is taking GCSE PE with skiing as their chosen practical sport, our new GCSE Ski PE Course is the perfect way to help them perform their best — both on camera and on the slopes.

We’ve designed this course to do two things:

  1. Develop top-tier skiing technique through expert coaching.
  2. Capture the perfect assessment footage that meets your exam board’s criteria.

Because when it comes to GCSE PE, it’s not just about skiing well — it’s about skiing smartly, with evidence that ticks every box.

What to expect

A group-based programme designed to balance high-quality instruction with the official filming and assessment process. Each course typically includes three sessions:

Session 1 — Coaching & Preparation. Refining technique and performance. Our instructors tailor the coaching to your child’s strengths and the exact examining body criteria (AQA, Edexcel, or others).

Sessions 2 & 3 — Filming & Assessment. Once their skills are sharp, time to capture the footage. We film each skier performing to specification — controlled turns, timed slalom or giant slalom runs, depending on the requirements.

Our fully qualified instructors have years of experience coaching and assessing GCSE PE candidates. You let us know the exam board in advance; we handle the rest, ensuring your child’s performance meets every mark scheme criterion.

Course schedule

Courses run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, starting at 1pm or 2pm, with each session lasting three hours.

This alternating schedule gives students the ideal balance:

  • Practising and resting
  • Enjoying some après-ski hot chocs
  • Simply taking in the mountain atmosphere

The right rhythm for progress without pressure.

Why choose Peak

  • Expert instruction — qualified examiners and elite-level coaches on staff
  • Tailored preparation — adapted to each child’s exam board and ability level
  • Professional video evidence — high-quality footage that meets GCSE PE standards
  • Small group sizes — more personal coaching, better results

How to book

We run our GCSE Ski PE Courses based on demand, so spaces are limited.

To secure your child’s spot, get in touch as soon as possible. If we don’t reach the minimum group size of 3, we’ll happily transfer the lessons to private sessions or offer a full refund — whichever works best for you.

The takeaway

The GCSE Ski PE Course is about more than just exams. It’s about building a confident, capable skier who can carry their skills beyond school.
